CIQ: AR 2
This past week was rough . It was the start of the new trimester and my students were amazing; it was the adults I found I struggled with the most. I know I keep bringing up the fire that happened over the summer, but the fact is the school is STILL not functioning as normal. Work is STILL not being completed. My students are STILL being negatively impacted because "important" adults in the building and district are not following through on what needs to be done. So I had a pretty negative beginning of the week. When inspecting my Critical Incident Questionnaire, I noticed I was most engaged with my students and my work when it was concerning the literature we were studying. Both my 9th and 10th graders are doing Literature Circle-type work, and that's what made my week exciting. I was able to create lessons and experiences that students found enjoyable.
